John Lowry has over 20 years of claims management and dispute resolution experience working with insurance companies and law firms across the country. John serves as president of The Lowry Group, LLC (TLG). At TLG, he provides settlement counsel services in catastrophic claims. John has created a proven approach for working with claims professionals and attorneys to settle the most difficult cases. From 2016-2018, John served as Interim Vice President of Claims for American Excess Insurance Exchange (AEIX).

In addition to his work as settlement counsel, John regularly provides settlement negotiation and conflict management training and consulting for governmental entities, major insurance companies, health care organizations, law firms, and other businesses. John has taught courses for the top ranked Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution at Pepperdine University School of Law and Vanderbilt University’s Master’s in Management in Health Care program.

John is author of Negotiation Made Simple, a top selling book on negotiation published in 2023 by HarperCollins.
